In The Name Of Science Show The Content Of Entertainment

Contemporary society is a world with highly developed transmission technology and richer media.The "landscape" that the more active and mighty media made is becoming increasingly gorgeous and delicate. The "Spectacle" has spread and penetrated the different aspects of social life.All kinds of Spectacle is complex and changeable.In a sense, media spectacle has become the main characteristic of this era. In the foreseeable future,media spetacle will formed a new world which we can not escaped from with a determined attitude led to visual shock beyond imagin.In the 1960’s, the Guy Debord proposed the theory of "landscape view society". And decades later, the American scholar Douglas Kellner put forward "media spectacle" based on the theory of Guy Debord’s action. I think the Spectacle theory is very suitable for analysis the "information explosion"in reading pictures era. This paper tries to study the cause, manifestation and influence of the Scientific reality show the "Super Brain".As a Scientific TV show,the "Super Brain" is aimed at spread the scientific concept and become unique in reality shows. Howerever,Some people think it gives general public a chance to get better understanding of science through the television program, but some people think that it take science as an excuse for earning the audience rating. So,how to judge this kind of act of in the name of science show the content of entertainment"?Firstly, the paper studies the construction strategy of the "Super Brain" from the angles of vision、ceremony and carnival. Secondly, the paper analyzes how the connotation of science gradually vanished from the perspective of the content and form; Thirdly, analyzes the essence of this show from the angles of stage spectacle, story spectacle and star spectacle based on the theory of spectacle. Finally, this paper make a comprehensive analysis of "super brain" and compares the similarities and differences of two types of "Super Brain",finding the causes and the negative effects of spectacle.
