Laser simulation shooting system has been widely used in the military and civilian areas in recent years, it can not only save the cost of ammunition, improve the performance of safety, simulate realistic scenes, but also set up different scenes according to the application of different fields without a lot of manpower and resources. Otherwise this system has good maintainability and high practical value. Most of the conventional laser simulation shooting systems collect laser data based on the shooting target, which is not only costly, but also difficult to maintain.The gun of simulating laser and data acquisition system used a simulating laser gun and USB camera as the device of emitting laser and the front-end equipment of data acquisition. The Bluetooth was used as wireless communication between simulating laser gun and the system of data acquisition and processing. This paper was mainly achieving these functions:the function of laser gun is to achieve a single shot and continuous emission of laser bullet, and reloading bullet. Simultaneously transmitting the signal of emitting laser to the data acquisition and processing system via the UART serial port by the mode of wireless; While receiving the laser emission signals of the laser gun, the data processing system captured a image containing the laser spot using a USB camera, and got the coordinate of laser spot by image processing.This paper focused on two parts:the hardware and software design of laser gun, and the acquisition and calibration of shot coordinate. The part of laser guns mainly discussed the implementation of its peripheral circuit,and the configuration and analysis of its main modules of software; The part of the acquisition and calibration of shot coordinate firstly analyzed the acquisition of the laser spot, the detection algorithm of the center coordinates for the laser spot, then described the method of using the image processing to obtain a correction coefficient, conbined with mathematical calculations of translation, rotation and scaling processing, and achieved the correction of the center coordinates of the laser spot.This system used the method of modular design to achieve a laser gun and data acquisition system based on camera, the main advantage is the obtention and correction of shot coordinate are realized by means of image processing, without complex acquisition and calibration equipment. And the performance of system is stable and precision is high.
