The two-dimensional laser displacement sensor is a system based on linestructured light.And real-time acquisition and processing of the structural lightimage is the main bottleneck of the system.So it is quite important to research ontechnology of its real-time image acquisition and processing.Image acquisition of the two-dimensional laser displacement sensor is alwaysdone by industrial camera with Camera Link interface.That’s because the CameraLink interface has many advantages such as strong anti-interference ability,fasttransmission rate,far transmission distance,total openness and so on.So,cameraswith Camera Link interface can not only provide stable image data,but also adaptto different measuring environment through conveniently controlling the camera’sexposure level.With the continuous development of FPGA technology,FPGA-based imageacquisition and processing systems are becoming more and more hot.As itspowerful parallel processing capabilities,FPGA’s advantages in the field of imagepreprocessing has become increasingly evident.So image acquisition andprocessing systems with FPGA being core component can take full advantage ofparallel processing capabilities of FPGA to meet the real-time measuringrequirement of the two-dimensional laser displacement sensor.Thus, this paper conducted a FPGA-based technology research on camera’simage acquisition and processing with Camera Link interface.The main workcontents are as follows:1) Design of image acquisition and debugging platform based on FPGA.2) Design of hardware logic corresponding to above-mentionedplatform,realizing camera image’s real-time acquisition,store,VGA display,serialcommunication and etc.3) Hardware implementation of typical spatial domain image enhancementalgorithm,verifying FPGA’s parallel processing capabilities’ adaptability forimage preprocessing algorithms.4) Design and hardware implementation of laser stripe extractionalgorithms,providing a reference for further study of image processingalgorithms in research of two-dimensional laser displacement sensor.
