Monitoring system is an indispensable part of the security system,it can not only monitor the site monitoring,but also through various storage media will monitor the contents of the contents clearly recorded to be ready to verify.Therefore,people in daily life of the monitoring system dependence is becoming more and more high,in the city security,traffic management,public places monitoring and smart home and other areas,video surveillance system is playing an important role.The traditional monitoring system is installed on the personal computer,the video data is stored in the local storage device,which has the advantages of large size,high power consumption and high cost,so it is only used in a specific field.The remote video monitoring system based on embedded system has the advantages of low price and convenient use,so it is becoming more and more widely used in the field of security and smart home and other fields.Based on the actual needs of the monitoring system,this paper designs a remote monitoring system with high reliability,good real-time performance and low cost with the technology of embedded technology,network technology and image processing technology.The system uses the ARM920 T kernel S3C2440 microprocessor and embedded Linux operating system,and the use of general USB camera as a video capture device.The remote video monitoring system designed by this paper is based on the development of embedded technology,this system includes two parts of software and hardware.In this paper,we mainly discuss the development and design method of the software technology,the first is to carry out the design of the hardware platform,which can achieve the design requirements of the system.The software transplantation includes the transplant of the boot process,the transplant of the operating system and the file system.Next is the development and design of the video capture device driver.In this paper,the overall framework of the remote video surveillance system is proposed,and a platform for the development of the system is set up.The system ismade up of server and client.The server uses the Video4Linux2 technology to realize the video image data collection,and the collection to the YUV data compression into MJPEG,finally use TCP/IP protocol to realize the video data transmission;the client receives the video data after the video data is decoded and played,and carries on the video storage,on the basis of this function,and realizes the function of the moving target detection.At the end of this paper,the function of the system design is summarized,and some shortcomings are put forward.
