Water is the foundation of people living. Its quality is directly related to human health. However, with the development of Chinese economy, the pollution to the water resources become more worsen. The discharge of waste and sewage in human production and living has caused great harm to the water resources. In the pipeline transmission, the pollution, which is caused by the pipeline and other issues, can directly affect the water quality. Water quality has became an important factor that causes health problems of human beings.With the internet plus became a national strategy, the combination of internet and people living has been taken to a new level. And as the development of smart city, internet has begun to enter the life of human beings. Therefore, the integrate of the internet and water is imperative.The status of water and the urgent need to solve the problem of water safety were presented on the beginning. Then this paper described the internet plus which was a national strategy of China, and revealed the current situation of innovation, and the demand analysis and the design scheme of the system were given. The water quality information collection system is based on a real question. It can control the information of devices and users by the information center which is set up in the cloud server. The information of water quality is collected by the sensors which is fixed on the water purification equipment. Then this information will be transmitted to the server and the server can judge the status of water quality and the running state of water purification equipment. There is a Web server on the cloud sever to help users to view the information of water quality in real-time and to help company to manage their equipment. Meanwhile, the server has the port to receive alarm information, it can quickly accept the alarm information and pass the message to the manager by SMS. Finally, the design scheme was implemented, and the performance of the system was tested and analyzed. The analysis showed that the water quality information collection system fitted the basic needs of the system, and all functions of the system had been implemented.
