With the development of video technology and demand for real-time video playback, the audio and video capture system has been widely used. Whether safety monitor system or real-time video calls relative to communication technology, the audio and video capture system needs high image quality and audio clarity. Meanwhile, the audio and video capture system will gradually become high-quality and networked.In this paper, an audio and video capture system based on TVP5146 and TLV320AIC3101 is designed. The system takes TMS320DM365 as the core, including the audio capture module, video capture module, power management module, serial port debug module and Ethernet communication module. Audio module is implemented by using TLV320AIC3101 codec chip to achieve audio output with I2 S format. The audio capture part uses a single ended MIC input analog signal, and uses a set of high power headphone amplifier to achieve the playback of the audio signal. The ALSA framework of is used as a driver for audio module. The video module outputs signal with YUV4:2:2 format that meet the criteria ITUR BT 656 by using the TVP5146 decoder chip. CCD camera is used in video part to capture analog input signal of three channels, including 2 channels of CVBS signals and 1 channel of S-Video signal, which can achieve a selectable signal input mode. Finally, the driver setting of the video capture card TVP5146 is realized through the V4L2 framework. TPS65023 and TPS65510 chips are used in power supply module. TPS65510 provides power for the PRTCSS function module of DSP with 2 LDOs. TPS65023 provides the whole system with 3 DCDCs, one of which provides power for core of DSP with 1.35 V and two of which for peripheral devices with respectively 1.8V and 3.3V. Additionally, the reset signal of system is generated by TPS65023. MAX3221 chip and KS8001 chip are used in serial debug module and Ethernet communication module respectively. The transmission rate is set to 100 Mbps.This paper mainly introduces the hardware structure of the system. The hardware design of the system is completed under the environment of Altium Designer 15. With a thorough understanding of the functions and characteristics of each IC chip, the circuit diagrams for all modules are designed.This paper achieves the hardware design of multi-channel audio and video capture system, and builds the hardware foundation for the audio and video capture system. The audio and video capture system can be applied to a simple video capture occasions, and the extended peripheral module can be applied to a variety of complex video surveillance and video recording acquisition occasions.
