| With the rapid development of information technology, digital video technology appear inpeople’s lives, the requirement of the information’s quality is increasing, HD Video has appeared inevery aspect of our lives. But in the video surveillance, video conferencing and other real-timemultimedia applications, real-time HD video processing and transmission technology is still ahighly valuable content to study, real-time video processing and transmission technology is alsowidely used in intelligent transportation and smart home, high-definition video processing andtransmission technology has become an important part of information field.The design is based on TI’s TMS320DM8168media processor launch in2010,Realized1080presolution HD video at60frames per second processing subsystem, while achieved audio captureand coding subsystems on DM8168, MPEG-2PS packaging and OSD functional modules.The paper introduced DaVinci technology, researched the software and hardware architecture ofDM8168multicore processor, communication method between processors, studied the link-basedsoftware design method. The paper also researched ALSA and implement audio coding subsystemas well as audio and video data packaging solution which meet the GB_T28181-2011securitystandard of Ministry of Public Security. Provided a solution to process mixed character string ofChinese and English that based on the OSD algorithm of DM8168SDK, and also provided asolution to display different font size which can save the system’ resources.Finally, after system testing,1080p60HD video processing system is stable, the image qualityand audio coding quality are both well. MPEG-2PS package of audio and video data can be playedon MPS test platform smoothly. OSD module function well on picture’ display and time’ update aswell as the processing of string.
