Talk shows refer to these radio or television programs that review news or social issues and express ideas by discussion. They originated in the Britain of the 18th century, and obtained further prosperity and development in the United States, and were introduced into China in the 1990s and then became one program's form active in the TV screen until today. With the development of Internet technology, the network-based talk shows, fitting with features of new medias, become one kind of cultural phenomenon, which is popular around the world.Network- and knowledge-based talk show is one kind of programs that are grafted and transplanted from the science and educational TV programs and TV talk shows, and also is one of the best categories that are developing most rapidly and showing best tendency. It benefits from the current fast-developing living conditions of Internet, fierce content products competition among video websites and audience's internal demand for high-level and high grade knowledge-based programs, embodies the development tendency of current knowledge-based programs and conducts a study on their status and development, which is conducive to exploring the features and laws of the content production of network-based video programs.This article adopts the methods of literature review, comparative study, inductive reasoning and so on to comb the vein of rise and development of network- and knowledge-based talk show, analyze the main features of network- and knowledge-based talk show and conclude that in content it pays more attention on the "audience subdivision" and puts their focus on one specific "target groups" and makes corresponding program content according to their demand and favor. In addition, this kind of program maximizes the role of presenter's "personal charisma". The presenter's background, knowledge, style of conversation and life experience, to a large extent, determines the level of program quality, and also becomes the strong connection point between audience and the program. And in the communication strategy, on the basis of the special properties of new media, compared with traditional media programs, network- and knowledge-based talk show presents more abundant strategies. It uses the Internet thought, namely taking "the personal charisma" as the core, making organic combination of online and outline communication, which not only enhances the influence of the program itself but also broadens its marketingroad. In the end, this article analyzes the possible difficulties encountered by network- and knowledge-based talk show in their future development, puts forward three hidden worries-the content is short of sustainability, the profit model is not clear and it is too dependent on presenters- and makes relevant suggestions.
