The Methods Of User Research For Smartphone APP Design

With the development of APP, the requirement of APP user experience is higher and higher. User research which links to products and features, can improve the user experience effectively. This paper mainly put forward a new way of user research that is suitable for APP, and describe the method in details. At the same time, designing a Campus APP practically with the method. The purpose of this paper is suming up new principles and methods of user research for APP, and guiding APP design with it.This paper expounds a lot of theoretical knowledge of user research and APP. The article explains the concept, content, and the basic ways of user research, summaries the classification and features, design content, and factors of APP, and puts forward the key nodes and important user information which are in the design of a APP. Through the research on work content and conditions of user research, the article sums up the basic steps, research methods, and characteristics of different types of APP. Based on the above, the paper puts forward new principles and methods of user research, and proposes the approach that using user research to guide APP design. Finally, in the campus APP design practice, the paper analyses the target user needs, collects user feedback, designs and optimizes the APP, making the APP meet the demand of users.The significance of this paper is guiding user research in the design of APP, and improving user experience of APP in the future.
