The dynamic test is an effective method to study the pantograph catenary system. It can simulate the interaction and provide data for the analysis of the dynamic performance of pantograph catenary system.In order to develop a dynamic test system applied to the pantograph catenary system of high speed rail, a control system is designed based on a test bench of pantograph catenary system. The system reproduces the dynamic movement of pantograph catenary system through the multiaxial compound motion. First of all, the paper introduces the structure and working principle of the test rig. Then the motion control requirements of the actuator system are analyzed. According to these control requirements, the scheme of the system is designed.The hardware of motion control system is completed based on the scheme. The core of the control framework is IPC and multi-axis motion control card.And the selection of the key hardware is done, such as IPC, multi-axis motion control card and PLC. At the same time the main circuit and control circuit are designed, according to the control object of electrical system. The control programs of several motion control system are completed based on Visual C++ 6.0.Finally, the stability, control precision and response rate of control system are tested through functional test.The results show that every technical index reaches the standard of the test system. It can provide experimental data for the dynamic study of pantograph catenary system.
