The Development Of The School Library Management System

With the development of computer technology, the quickness and accuracy of data processing has been valued by library managers. The introduction of computer system into library management has made library management simple and intuitive, as all contents of library management can be fit into a system. Establishing library computer management system is a very powerful impetus for library managers.The traditional library management is completely changed to improve efficiency, reduce the heavy physical work and the probability of error, so that the reader can spend more time in selection and reading. People have more time to obtain information, understand information and to grasp information. Its development mainly includes two aspects, establishment and maintenance of SQL Server2008 database and development of software with JAVA. SQL Server is a relational database management system launched by Microsoft. It provides powerful development tools and various development characteristics. SQL Server greatly improves the development efficiency, expands the room of application, and at the same time brings new opportunities for comercial applications.It has good campability, and is easy to use. Meanwhile, it also has the characteristics of e-commerce, data warehousing, etc.Then it analyses the overall design of the system, including system requirement analysis, system targets, system modular design, system structure diagram, system flow chart. Furthermore, it introduces the structure design of overall data, including the concept structure desgin of database, the logical structure design of database, E-R diagram of library management system, and the design of data tables. Finally, the thesis describes the library management system design in detail, including system flow analysis, the operation of the main module, the problems emerged during system development, and how to solve these problems.With in-depth study and application the database technology, functions such as bibliographic search, reader management, library management, book management, user maintenance and system maintenance are completed[28]. The application of the system shows that it can satisfy the needs of both users and librarians and fulfill the design requirements.
