With the rapid development of computer technology, storage technology and communication technology, the task of signal acquisition, processing and transmission is more and more heavy, the study of high speed data acquisition card has become increasingly important. On the other hand, FPGA is widely used because of the development of EDA technology. The FPGA has a advantage of a high clock frequency, small internal delay and reuse. We can use the VHDL or Verilog HDL to describe the internal logic circuit, or use the IP core technology to speed up development in design. Therefore, FPGA used in high speed data acquisition system enhances the system flexibility and stability greatly.A digital audio optical transceiver based on FPGA and a DTV TS interface card based on FPGA is designed in this thesis. The digital audio optical transceiver realizes transmission of digital audio signal in optical fiber, The digital signal processing part of the optical transceiver is achieved using FPGA, including design of I2S interface, design of SPI interface and design of optical fiber interface. The design of optical fiber interface is implemented using ASI IP core of Altera Corporation. DTV TS interface card based on FPGA realizes real-time transmitting and receiving of TS and it includes hardware design and software design. Hardware design includes design of ASI interface, design of DDR2 SDRAM buffer and design of PCI-E interface. The design of PCI-E interface is implemented using PCI-E IP core of Altera Corporation. Software design includes the development of driver and development of application, and the driver is developed using the driver development kit WinDriver of Jungo Company.At last, we have carried out thorough tests on the digital audio optical transceiver and the DTV TS interface card. Experimental results show that the two equipment works stably. The digital audio optical transceiver realizes transmission of digital audio signal in optical fiber and the DTV TS interface card is adequate for transmitting/capturing multiple DTV transport streams.
