This study is based on the project in our laboratory: Digital Sampling Oscilloscope. The hardware of this oscilloscope is based on FPGA, using the PXI architecture, and the oscilloscope is a kind of Virtual Instrument. After the concept of Virtual Instrument issued by NI(National Instrument) in 1986, Virtual Instrument technology meets kinds of demand of users. Virtual instrument technology is widely used in test, measurement and data acquisition occasions with the PXI bus released. This new type of virtual instrument structure has very good hardware and software environment, the whole system is easy to integrate and use. This characteristic ensures that the virtual instrument platform extensively applicated in many fields. The whole design is based on PXI technical. The main work of the papers can be divided into the following aspects: firstly, I must master the PXI specification according to the requirements of the design. This part mainly includes the introduction to PXI technology's development, the mechanical architecture of PXI bus and electrical properties and software standard, and I consult the technical data of Virtual instrument, and choose the scheme of PXI interface. And then, realized the chosen interface plan, this part mainly include the relevant signal used in interface schemes, the details of the interface realize, and gives the simulation waveform of this part; Then, the chapter four is the drive part of this design. firstly, introduces the software component of bus module and the Windows drive's relevant contents, then, choosing WinDriver to develop driving part of this design in three driver development way, DriverKit Device (the DDK), DriverStudio and WinDriver. Subsequently, introduces how to use WinDriver to realize the driver as well as the procedure's compiling, and finally, it introduces the driver's use, installation and distribute. The last chapter, introduces the significance of collecting data and command of PXI– 5152, and I choose one method in there schemes and set up an actual examples to explain how to undertake the whole collection process and analysis the results.Summary is the discussion of the full paper's design in detail, and points out the content and direction for the further study.
