Ocean accounted for71%of the earth’s surface,contains enormous energy and resources with important strategic significance in the political,military and economic.At present,many countries are increasing the exploitation of marine resources and taking the seabed video surveillance as an important means and paying more and more attention to it.The purpose of this project is to research and design a high-definition video optical transceiver for undersea video surveillance. High-definition video in high-speed long-distance fiber transmission can greatly enhance the seabed video monitoring capability.This paper first introduces the principles and techniques involved in the development of optical transceiver. Secondly, it introduces the overall design of the optical system,gives the overall design framework and related indicators. Then it elaborates on the hardware circuit structure and FPGA logic design, focusing on the design method of high-speed serial GTP transceiver,and introduces each FPGA functional modules designed with Verilog HDL.The methods and processes of the system debugging are described in the next.Finally, the summary and outlook of high-definition video video optical transceiver development are given.The high-definition video optical transceiver system uses Xilinx Spartan-6FPGA as the main chip, and uses its internal embedded high-speed serial hard-core module GTP transceiver to send and receive high-speed serial data, and adopts TI TFP403and TFP410chips to receive and send high-definition video data. The system consists of a video transceiver module, RS232transceiver module, SFP optical tranceiver module, the FPGA logic functional module and the GTP transceiver module.This paper verifys the solution of60Hz,720p HD video real-time transmission via optic fiber and implements the initial development, provides a viabe platform for long-distance real-time transmission of high-definition video data.
