With the development of society, the rapid development of communication industry in recent years, people continue to expand the communication needs of business in the traditional voice business, high bandwidth data services demand is growing rapidly, more and more users began to focus on new business based on Internet, such as remote education, remote video conferencing, video calls, high-speed download at the same time, large bandwidth value-added services based on the income of operators has become the growth point, become operators to attract users, an important means to increase revenue. Promotion of large bandwidth value-added services, the user demand for bandwidth from 2 to 4 MB, to 20 MB, 50 MB, or 100 MB. Optical fiber because of its low loss, wide bandwidth, strong anti-interference ability, reliable performance and cost regardless of advantage of falling to become the best medium for future optical access network. The network equipment manufacturers have introduced a variety of mature PON. Preparation, the major telecom operators will also officially broadband access network in DSLAM LAN to the PON rapid evolution, network access layer device, monitoring of existing management felt very difficult, is an urgent need for a unified management of the access layer equipment and maintenance of the network management system.In this paper, combined with the Ningxia CTT PON network situation, analysis the PON access network carrying the needs of business and management, research and describes the structure of the network management system, management function, operation, fault handling. Mainly from the devices are added, board equipment, equipment warning information collection, fault processing and analysis of many aspects of research and design, to develop a set of suitable xpon network management system of the company in the market and the needs of network.After defining the system target,this thesis makes a brief introduction of the main technologies involved in the system implementation. The system supports the management mode as "SNMP", "EMS" and "other ways";With "SNMP" and "EMS" as the main, "other ways" as a supplement. According to the network equipment according to SNMP related technical specifications,You can use the SNMP method or the EMS method to carry on the tube. The system defines the seven functions of the network management(topology management, alarm management, resource management, performance management, report management, configuration management, system management),The seven functions of the network management system are relatively independent, and there is a link between them. This network management system using loosely coupled architecture design, and consistent with the standardized, expanding principle, uses the functional components of the design, the tight fit in the business, fault management in real-time, accurate, maintenance operation safety and fast, which guarantees the real-time system and each module, can satisfy the network long-term supervision and maintenance of the system.
