Research And Design Of Fixed Assets Management System

Although fixed asset management is a indispensable part of the asset management in a enterprise, the traditional manual methods are widely adopted to manage the fixed asset in actual production in most enterprises of our country. There exist a lot of problems include low efficiency and poor security using the traditional manual methods, which lead to a low management level. With the high-speed development of computer technology, it's necessary to renovate the traditional fixed asset management methods by means of modern information technologies. In order to realize the reasonable allocation of fixed assets and maximize the availability factor of fixed assets, it's urgent for modern sizeable enterprises to establish a new set of fixed assets management system, explore its operation mechanism and promote the information construction of the fixed assets management. Based on this background, a series of researches on the development of fixed assets management system were carried out in this paper.Firstly, the concept of fixed assets were defined and the overseas and domestic research status on fixed asset management were analyzed. The advantages and disadvantages of current common fixed asset management systems were elaborated, such as ERP fixed asset management systems, bar code fixed assets management system, EAM asset and FAMIS financial and management information systems, and it was proposed to develop a special type fixed assets management system.Then, the investigation about fixed asset management status of Tianjin Metro was carried out, of which the existed problems were analyzed and summarized. The development program of enterprise fixed asset management system which was based on B/S mode architecture was proposed through consulting amount of relevant references and documents. According to the actual demand of fixed asset management of Tianjin Metro and the guiding principles of system development, the main function modules such as basic data management, fixed asset purchase management, fixed asset consuming management, fixed assets warehouse management and fixed assets depreciation management were designed in detail using the relatively mature application development techniques, such as ASP.NET technology, C # programming language and SQL Server 2005 database management system. The fixed assets management system of Tianjin Metro were described in detail combining with the realization interface of the main function modules of the target system.At last, according to the basic principles and the common methods of system testing, the target system was tested from two aspects of both functional testing and performance testing, and the testing results are consistent with the expected results. That is to say, the target system can basically meet the daily demand of the fixed asset management of Tianjin Metro.
