The Design And Implementation Of Image Film Printing Management System Based On DICOM

The development of Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS) not only promoted the development of the hospital information construction, but also brought new problems. Nowadays, a lot of image film printing devices are being used in the same hospital environment but apply different printing protocols. That makes it difficulty to manage the film printing process, thus the utilization rate of the printing equipment isn't high.The Digital Imaging and Communications in Medicine (DICOM) standard is originated in the 1980s, and it's purpose is to make the equipments which are produced by different medical device manufacturer to communicate with each other. After nearly three decades of development, The DICOM standard becomes the most commonly applied standard in the field of Digital Imaging and Communications in Medicine. The network printing based on DICOM is the inevitable trend of the development in the future PACS.First of all, this thesis introduces the relevant knowledge about DICOM and norms about printing management. Then it analyses the requirement of medical image film printing management system from the standpoint of system scenarios and proposes system design goal on the basis of this. And then this thesis designs the systems's architecture and function modules with the thoughts of modularity and hierarchy from the sides of film printing client and management server. At last, the system realized film printing client interaction interface, film printing client communications Module based on DICOM, management server managing interface, management functional Module and film printing server communications Module based on DICOM.The film printing management system which is designed and completed by the thesis not only conforms to DICOM standard, but also be able to deal with the subsequent client requests. At present, this system has been running inside the institute. It's validity and practicability is proved.
