Radar seeker and fuze are core parts of a missile. They have functions of searching, tracking, recognizing, detonating, etc. A fault diagnosing equipment and its software are developed for radar seeker and fuze in order to make sure their development and production goes well, improve their testing efficiency and precision, and detect and locate faults more quickly.The fault diagnosing device, containing hardware and software, is developed specially for a certain type of missile. It provides seekers with power supply and RF signals, generates various excitation signal meeting the missile's needs, tests return signals from products tested monitors the change in some important parameters in the process of tests and implements automatic testing and fault locating for the seeker and the fuze of this type of missile.Virtual instrument Lab VIEW is used as the development environment for developing the automatic fault diagnosing software while taking this type of radar seeker and fuze as testing objects. Intensive research for radar seeker and fuze is made, and their working principles, features and signal types are combed. Testing items, processes and requirements are analyzed. Fault diagnosing algorithms are studied. Software stragegies, frameworks and design of every module are developed according to the hardware platform. Finally, the program development and joint tests with the seeker and the fuze are completed to verify the effectiveness of functions of this system.The fault diagnosing software developed in this paper can verify the seeker and fuze's functions and locate faults more accurately, greatly reduces testing efficiency and quality, and efficiently guarantees the development and production of the seeker and the fuze of the missile.
