The fuze testing system is a special automatic testing system designing for measuring and testing the electrical performance and microwave performance of some types of missile. It is based on virtual instrument technology, including software automatic test and manual test to test comprehensive performance of missile components. The system can greatly improve test efficiency and accuracy.In this paper, the design and development process of fuze testing system is introduced in detail.First of all, topic background and research situation at home and abroad is introduced. Then a design scheme using GPIB bus based on virtual instrument technology from current available solutions is put forward and selected. After that, the paper discusses the hardware design and software design of the testing system in detail. Hardware includes radio frequency circuits and low frequency electronic circuits, rf circuits load fuze and simulate different distance and relative speed between fuzes. Low frequency electronic circuits provide fuze input signal and give the radio frequency circuits doppler pulse signal, used for doppler modulation. Software uses LabVIEW as its language. The main function of software is testing the electric properties and microwave properties of fuze automaticlly, and designs a good human-computer interaction interface. At last,the paper discusses the system commissioning, and the problems and the solutions in the development process.At present, the system has been accepted and put into use. The results of tests show that the system can effectively meet all the requirements of the project. Moreover, the test is stable, safe and reliable.
