Coherent optical communication is thought that it is the most effective solution of 100 GHz and over high speed communication in modern optical communication. And it has been applied to satellite communication system successfully. At present, real-time data processing algorithm has been widely studied. For coherent optical communication system, it can achieve high efficiency data processing by means of algorithm modulation modes in electronic domain. It is the most effective method that applying high sampling rate Analog-Digital converter(ADC) and high performance low-power consumption Field Programmable Gate Array(FPGA) to build real-time coherent optical detection electronic data acquisition and processing system.This article researches and designs a hardware platform of superspeed data acquisition and processing system which applies to real-time data processing of coherent optical receiver. The design is divided into high speed data acquisition system and high speed data processing system two parts. By reason of the system is required to achieve 10-20 GHz signal acquisition and processing, the requirement of sampling rate is very high. High speed data acquisition system adopts foreign 30GS/s high sampling rate ADC module, it can be real-timely controlled to complete sampling work. Mass of data comes from high sampling rate need powerful processing chip to store and process. High speed data processing system design a high speed printed-circuit board bases on high performance low-power consumption FPGA.This article introduces the structure and function of selective ADC and FPGA in detail. On the basis of this, complete the second development and debugging of hardware and software of ADC, functional verification experiment of ADC by the corresponding development software, the schematic design of the peripheral circuit of FPGA, in addition, follow the high speed circuit design requirements complete the PCB design and simulations of signal integrity and power integrity, and it lies a solid foundation for further research.
