With the rapid development of DSP and FPGA technology, DSP and FPGA have been widely used in the control system of PMSM and promoted the application of advanced control theory in the field of motor control. FPGA technology has the advantages of good real-time ability, high reliability, high flexibility, et al. It has broad prospects in the military and high reliability requirement industrial control fields. At present, the advanced control algorithms have been maturely applied in motor control field based on DSP, while it has good development prospects in the motor control field based on FPGA.This thesis adopt the structure of DSP as main controller and FPGA as auxiliary controller, to take the advantage of good real-time and high reliability of FPGA,design the speed fuzzy adaptive PI controller in FPGA to solve issues that fuzzy, fuzzy logic inference and defuzzification of fuzzy PI speed controller based on DSP is slow and take up a lot of CPU,thus achieving a high real-time and reliable speed control system.This thesis first describes the background and significance of the research, and systematically analyzed the history and current situation of PMSM control technology development at home and abroad, the development of fuzzy control technology and the application of FPGA technology in the motor control system. In the basis of the basic principle of permanent magnet synchronous motor vector control system and fuzzy PI adaptive control principle, build system simulation model with the aid of Matlab/Simulink tools to simulate. Simulation results show that the speed respose of the system with fuzzy PI adaptive speed control method has small overshoot, short response time, strong robust performance, and it has also verified the correctness and effectiveness of the system, thus making a solid foundation for achieving high performance speed control system.Secondly, this thesis has designed software and hardware towards this control system on the basis of TI company's TMS320F28335 and Altera company's EPLC20f324C6. HITECH company's PWS5610T-SA touch screen is used to monitor the state of motor and controller,and the touch screen's interface include motor state monitoring and motor parameters set are designed in the Hitech ADP programming software.Finally, an PMSM vector control experimental platform is built to do speed control performance experiments, the experimental results further verify the reliability and feasibility of the fuzzy adaptive PI speed control system based on FPGA proposed in this thesis.
