The Design And Implementation Of Related Party Transactions Management System For Rural Commercial Bank Based On Data Warehouse

Rural financial institutions have perpetuated the non-fair related party transactions, and its absence of regulations have resulted in tremendous credit risks and credit asset loss, which is believed to be one of the reasons for non-performing assets. In extreme cases, it leads to the bankruptcy of commercial banks and credit cooperatives. This problem is due to the characteristics of rural financial institutions,including complicated ownership structure, wide affected parties, miscellaneous services, inefficient information management and lack of system support. Thus, it poses a huge challenge to efficiently identify related parties and related party transactions, and to perform statistical analysis of related party transactions, which have great implications for newly established rural commercial banks. Data warehouse can deal with the integrating data from upstream business systems, and extracting relevant information for downstream systems, and then offer a sound basis for business decisions. By building the related party transactions management system based on data warehouse, we can realize to all related party information and related party transaction information effective storage, and carry on multi-level data processing in order to satisfy the management decision need.In This paper, I elaborate the background of related party transactions management system project and make an introduction of data warehouse, including its definition and main characteristics, and its design and implementation. Then, I perform a careful needs analysis of related party transactions of a particular rural commercial bank, and discuss related criteria and issues. Furthermore, I employ data warehouse to design a related party transactions management system in a top-down approach, which achieves its expected functions. After the end of system development,I carry out the functional test. In the end, I illustrate the performance of the online system, and make suggestions about further regulation of related party transactions and the system.
