With the development of mobile Internet and the popularity of smart phone, people always expect to use the mobile phone or Pad to communicate whenever and wherever possible. Wechat come naturally in this environment and get a good response after be pushed out. It get a total number of more than 600 million users in just 3 years, which makes those similar products like "MiTalk", "momo" so far behind.People can use wechat to communicate with friends by send text, picture, voice, video or other ways. These functions not only let people live in a more convenient life, but also bring an opportunity for the development of industries. Enterprise can use wechat to make a profit and government can provide services for people through it. Thus it can be seen that it is valuable and significant to make a research on wechat.This paper aims to make a research on wechat's communication mechanism from a perspective of communication. It summarizes the development and connotation of wechat's communication mechanism, and try to sum up the regularities of communication process on the basis of existing theory. To make a clearer understanding of wechat's communication mechanism, this paper analyses the characteristic of main components in wechat's communication mechanism, such as communicator, audience and medium by use classical cases in wechat. The research shows that wechat's communication mechanism both have advantages and drawbacks in the same time, so this paper explores the drawbacks and problems and put forward the measures to solve them in the end.The purpose of a deeper level in this paper is to make an analysis of wechat's communication mechanism, and then explore the future trends of wechat. As today's mainstream, wechat will bring a deeper impact to people's life and the development of the society.
