With the fast development of the society and the popularization of senior high school education in China,many new problems arise,among which are the increasing number of senior high school students,unevenness of students’ aptitude and so on.Students have lots of problems to solve in terms of their learning foundation,attitudes toward learning,learning environment,etc,leading to expanding gap between them in their academic achievement.And their teachers face more and more problems to solve in teaching.To achieve a better teaching efficiency,the author tried to find a instructional strategy under the guidance of the stratified instructional theory and has done a practice research into stratified mathematics instruction in senior high schools.Based on the implement of the new curriculum standards,the dissertation clarifies the definition,the background and the significance of the stratified instruction.The author did an investigation among senor high students,aiming to investigate their learning interest in mathematics,learning habits,family information and requirements.The author has analyzed the reasons for some students’ poor senior high mathematics.The author has also done a focused research into how to teach students senior high school mathematics while taking into consideration the reasons that cause students’ differences in proficiency of senior high school mathematics,how to decrease the gap in learning between each student,and how to help students to develop a good self-directed learning habit,aiming to improve the overall level of mathematics of the students and the teaching quality of the author’s school.The dissertation is divided into six chapters.The first chapter clarifies the research background,the research significance,the methods and methodology and the major research problems.Considering the current social background and the actual situation of the students of the school where the author works,the author illuminates in this chapter the background and significance of the research.The author also presentsthe methods of the research,which are the documentary method,the questionnaire method and the experimentation.Chapter Two sketches out the concept of stratified instruction and its theoretical foundation,and introduces the research status of stratified instruction at home and abroad.The hard core of the dissertation lies in Chapter Three and Chapter Four.The third chapter focuses on the reasons of Stratified Teaching.Using small cases,Chapter Four discusses how to stratify senior high students and how to teach them senior high mathematics in a stratified way.Chapter Five analyzes the results of the research and draws the conclusion that the stratified instruction strategy has advantages over other instruction strategies.Chapter Six,the last chapter,rethink the defects of the dissertation and put forward some suggestions. |
