Cognitive Training Group In Elderly Patients With Mild Cognitive Impairment:An Intervention Research

The central government calls for building elder friendly environment and policy system positively addressing population aging.How social work as a key element of China's social service systems,play the professional role in the field of elderly services has become an important research project.Among them,preventing and caring senile dementia has gradually attracted the attention of the society.Senile dementia is between normal aging group and dementia group.Intervention research is employed in this study,a cognitive training group is used as intervention strategy.The experimental study method was adopted to evaluate through Mini-mental State Examination.After pre-test and random allocation,14 people were divided into two groups——intervention group and control group.Intervention would be used to the intervention group while the routine service of old people's home would be applied to the control group.Results demonstrates that the training groups that are carried out by the social workers have prominent meaning for improving the old people's cognitive condition who have mild cognitive impairment.The thesis concludes the possibilities of implementing the mild cognitive impairment intervention in old people's home and discusses the intervention mode for the mild cognitive impairment intervention training groups that would be implemented.This study provides implications for social workers who will implement the intervention study for mild cognitive impairment.
