A Practical Study Of Social Work Intervention In The Elderly With Mild To Moderate Cognitive Impairment

The number of people with cognitive disorder in China has exceeded 10 million,ranking first in the world and also one of the fastest growing countries in the world.According to the predictions of relevant experts,it will reach 20 million by 2050.Having cognitive disorder affects not only one's memory,but also one's sensory perception.In real life,a lot of old people appear symptoms of forgetfulness and develop symptoms of suspicious,the relatives often think can be mistaken for this is old and dotard,do not take this seriously.Due to the lack of people's understanding of the disease,and the hidden onset of the disease,it is often not paid attention to until the symptoms are obvious,but it is too late,causing great mental and economic burden to society and families.During I work in an internship agency about Institutional pension in xi'an,the author found that most of the elderly with cognitive disorder in the institution lacked psychological and spiritual companionship.Besides,with the aggravation of the disease,the physical activity ability and brain cognitive ability would be affected to different degrees,and drug treatment control could not fully control the deterioration of this disease.Therefore,it is urgent to improve people's understanding of cognitive disorders,and early detection and diagnosis are crucial to the prognosis of patients.From the problem,so the author hope that based on problem,on the basis of social work,give full play to professional advantages of social work about the special features,pay attention to the service object of the spontaneous change,delay the sick elder his condition deteriorated by the method of social work,to satisfy their emotional needs,providing a new method for the treatment of cognitive disorder in old people.So social workers play an more important role in solving this problem.This study aims to from the perspective of professional social work,group work in social work methods involved in the service object,understand the daily life elderly that faced with the problems and requirements,explore under the perspective of social work effective solution,and to establish a set of science about delay the cognitive disorder in old man's condition research plan,formation of the native formation theory of social work.This paper is composed of six parts.The first chapter mainly introuduce the background,purpose and significance of the research.The second chapter is the design of the research scheme,which is mainly divided into three parts:research object,research idea and research method.The third chapter is the analysis of the existing problems and needs of the elderly with mild and moderate cognitive disorder.The fourth chapter is about the intervention of social work on the elderly with mild to moderate cognitive impairment in institutions.Through the analysis of the feasibility and necessity of social work intervention,the effectiveness of group activity intervention is obtained and specific intervention plans are proposed.The fifth chapter is the specific process of the intervention of group work on the elderly with mild and moderate cognitive disorder in the institution,including the preparation,activity design,intervention plan,process and evaluation of group activities.The last chapter is the summary and reflection of the effect of social work in the treatment of the elderly with mild and moderate cognitive impairment.In conclusion,this study attempts to from the perspective of social work,in under the guidance of professional values and ideals,thorough analysis by the method of group work to analyze problems of cognitive disorder in the elderly,as service object as the center,to explore an effective problem solving and worth popularization service experience and the intervention process,to help the old to live out their old age.
