The Study Of Painting Therapy Intervention On Cognitive Disorders Of Elderly With Mild Cognitive Impairment

Driven by the aging population,dementia is now considered as one of the world's largest public health challenges.It is the most important and complex neurodegenerative disease in the brain,with progressive and irreversible brain damage that can slowly cause impairment in memory,thinking,and behavior patterns over time.It now affects more than 20 million people worldwide.At present,there is no radical cure for the disease at home and abroad,and the treatment in the late stage is ineffective.Therefore,the focus of the research has gradually shifted to early diagnosis and early prevention.Under the guidance of the theory of Painting therapy,this article based on the concept and values of social work,takes 60 early-age dementia elderly in L community of Nanjing as the object were involved in the research process.The purpose is to help early dementia elderly to relax,improve cognitive skills,promote social interaction and ameliorate the quality of daily life;Also,we aim to explore how to establish an open community centered on the elderly to form a pan-family community culture,mobilize community resources and improve the quality of life for demented elders and their families,and at last to create a dementia-friendly communityThe main body of this article adopts the experimental research method,with 30 in the experimental group and 30 in the control group.After more than three months of 12 Painting therapy interventions,the researchers used the MMSE and ADL to evaluate the effects that are before and after the assessment and at the same time it is supplemented by participatory observation.To explore the intervention of Painting therapy on cognitive disorders in elderly with mild cognitive impairment.The results showed that:First,Painting therapy can improve the cognitive function of the elderly with mild cognitive impairment.Second,Painting therapy can improve the daily living ability of the elderly with mild cognitive impairment.Finally,I put forward my own summary and reflection on the use and experiment results of the new non-verbal intervention of Painting therapy,and give my own opinions and discussions on community-based retirement and home-based retirement.The ultimate goal is to promote the development of the dementia-friendly community.
