China's economic development has made remarkable achievements since the reform and opening up policy.China's education has also made brilliant achievements at the same time.Along with the speed up of market-oriented process in our country,as well as the increase of human capital's mobility in society, more and more people can achieve social status and economic status changes through education.”Compulsory Education Law of the People's Republic of China" began to implement in China at 1986,the mandatory nature of such a system raises the level of education for the whole of the population, but in poverty-stricken areas, there are still a large number of children who drop out of school during compulsory education. This makes us more interested in exploring the relationship between family economic conditions and children's education. Therefore, after viewing the previous papers, the research model of this paper is established, the variable that child's education level is measured by the years of schooling in which. The variable that measures household income levels is total household income that converted to 2011 by the CPI indices, including wages, bonuses or income from agricultural production in rural areas. We use The China Health and Nutrition Survey(CHNS),which is an ongoing open cohort, international collaborative project between the Carolina Population Center at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and the National Institute for Nutrition and Health at the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention. The survey began at 1989,has mad 9 times so far, covering 12 provinces/municipalities in the eastern, western and central areas. After the integration and matching,a total of 6555 valid child samples were obtained.Multivariate linear regression analysis(OLS)and two-stage least squares(2SLS)analysis,were investigated the relationship between family income and children education.A visit to this question is in order to test whether the level of education in our children can be improved by raising the overall income level of the family,it's helpful to provide a basis for relevant policy development. In examining the impact of household income, other factors affecting children's education level were investigated at the same time, such as the sex of the child and the educational level of the parents',let us have a deeper understanding of the results of the education of our children. We find that,on the whole, the increase of family income level in our microcosmic family has a significant positive effect on the individual education level,in other words, through the analysis of China's CHNS from 1989 to 2011 micro-family data, confirming the positive correlation between income levels in the family and the educational level of their children. And,whether the overall sample is divided into three different time periods,or the overall sample is divided into the eastern, western and central three regions or control variable is adjusted, the estimated results are consistent and significant. We also found that the educational level of parents also has a positive effect on the educational level of children, and the impact of the level of maternal education is slightly higher than the father's influence, which may be caused by different responsibility to bear the child's between father and mother in the family. While the gender of the child and the family is living in the city or the countryside will have an impact on the educational level of the child,in general, girls and children living in urban areas are more educated than boys and children living in rural area.
