In recent years,the education information is growing by leaps and bounds,especially the development of campus information getting more and more attention in the education sector.And information technology seeps gradually into basic education,then teacher's application ability level of information technology become people's focus.Today urbanization is ever-accelerating,it is more important to foster teacher's ability of applying information technology in teaching in urban and rural schools.Based on the literature review,found that part of correlational research still remained in the theoretical summary lack of practice.Part of research aims at discussing and rethinking the results,but not impressive;some research based on the ranges are relatively large,thus enabling the implementation of the recommendations is not especially strong.This study surveys the conditions for information technology application capabilities of junior middle school teachers in urban and rural.Using literature,questionnaire,interview,observation etc method to in-depth research.Based on the conditions of information technology application capabilities of junior middle school teachers in urban and rural to analyzes existing situation,then reveals the problems and the reasons behind this conditions.And put forward corresponding countermeasures according to the reason.Through the data analysis of the questionnaire,combined with the results of classroom observation and interview,we obtained the status of urban and rural junior middle school teachers' information technology application capacities: the overall situation of teachers' information technology application capacities;there are differences between the teachers' basic requirement and development requires completion;the development of five dimensions in teacher information technology application capacities is not balanced;teachers' information technology application capacities are different in urban and rural schools.According to the present conditions,it reveals the existing problems: teachers' whole information technology application capabilities are poor;teachers' development capabilities of information technology application are poor;teachers' learning and development capabilities are the worst;the gap of teachers' information technology application capabilities is big in urban and rural.The main reasons for these problems are: unbalanced education resources in urban and rural schools;teachers lack of independent learning and information technology application capabilities;lack of relevant platform and resource base for teachers to use;lack of training on the capacities of teachers' information technology application in school;lack of review of teachers' information technology application capabilities.This study puts forward the following countermeasures for causes of these problems: the government to promote education equalization in urban and rural;enhance the teachers' consciousness of applying information technology capabilities;construction the relevant platform and resource library,and learn how to application;strengthening the training of teachers' information technology application capabilities;setting clear standards to examine the teachers' capabilities of information technology application.
