If a nation wants to maintain long-term vitality,culture is an essential factor.The Chinese nation has a history of over 5000 years and this gave birth to the unique culture of China.For the Chinese nation,this culture contains a large number of energy.The impetus of the Chinese traditional culture is the guarantee of the prosperity of the Chinese nation.Meanwhile,it also inherits and carries forward Chinese excellent traditional culture.In order to implement the concept of “China Dream”,further inherit and carry forward the Chinese excellent traditional culture,help teenagers to develop themselves and cultivate the builders and successors of the socialism with national self-confidence and pride,the Ministry of Education issued an important document named Guidelines for Improving the Chinese Excellent Traditional Culture Education in March,2014.It proposed that actively and effectively promoting the inheritance of Chinese excellent traditional culture should be based on promoting patriotism as the core from the three aspects,namely,“patriotism”,“life” and “self-cultivation”.The ancient poetries contain abundant Chinese traditional culture.If we can apply the Chinese ancient poetries to teaching,good results will be achieved.However,the author investigates the status quo of the teaching of the Chinese ancient poetry and literature in Zhenjiang First Foreign Language School and finds that most of the students are lack of interest in the study of the Chinese ancient poetry and literature.Students do not know much about the traditional Chinese culture in ancient poetries.In the teaching process,there are some problems for teachers,such as the deviation of teaching objectives,the single teaching means,the one-sided teaching evaluation and the lack of educational resources.In order to solve these problems,the author puts forward the idea of “clarifying the teaching goal and inheriting the connotation of Chinese traditional culture”,“enriching the teaching means and showing the charm of Chinese traditional culture”,“optimizing teaching evaluation and inheriting the spirit of Chinese traditional culture”,“expanding the teaching resources and enriching the excellent traditional Chinese cultural content” as well as “optimizing the heritage environment and creating an atmosphere full of excellent Chinese traditional culture”,in order to realize the inheritance and promotion of Chinese excellent traditional culture.
