The combination of environmental education and subject penetration has become one of the hot topics in the research of the scholars.The geography curriculum of middle school takes the man-earth relationship as the main line and focuses on problems confronting the society including the population problems,environmental problems and development problem,which most comprehensively and systematically penetrates the environmental education in the stage of basic education curriculum.Therefore,it is necessary to have a research on the penetration of the environmental education in the middle school geography and to know the value of the penetration of the environmental education in middle school,which have a big significance to enhance the middle school students' awareness of environmental protection and improve the teaching abilities of the geography teachers in the middle school.By means of literature research method and inductive analysis method,the data about environmental education was summarized,collected and analyzed.In addition,the development history and current situation of environmental education was fully learned.By concluding and analyzing the contents of the penetration of environmental education in middle school geography textbooks and the requirements for the environmental education in the curriculum standards,we presented the characteristics and modes of the environmental education penetration in middle school geography.Some middle schools in Ganzhou City were selected as the research objects,and a questionnaire survey about the middle school students' environmental literacy and the present situation of the middle school geography teachers' penetration of environmental education in geography teaching was done.Then the main problems existing in the current environmental education in middle school geography teaching were pointed out and also an objective basis was provided for the middle school geography to penetrate the environmental education in their geography teaching.According to the research framework,this thesis mainly focused on the following three aspects:Firstly,this thesis referred to the present major methods and results of research about environmental education at the stage,adopted the interdisciplinary way and multi-dimension way,and probed into the environmental education in middle school geography teaching by taking examples from environmental ethics,sustainable development,constructivism ideology and methods.On the basis of systematic induction and arrangement of the contents of environmentaleducation in middle school geography curriculum,the characteristics and modes of the penetration of environmental education in middle school geography teaching were analyzedSecondly,by investigating the present situation of the environmental education in middle school geography teaching of Ganzhou city,the present situation of the middle school students' environmental literacy and implementation of the environmental education of the middle school geography teachers were examined.The students' environmental literacy was investigated from three aspects including the students' environmental awareness,environmental attitude and environmental behavior,and then the statistical analysis and test were carried out about the differences of the scores of different students' genders and studying phases.The middle school geography teachers' environmental education penetration was investigated respectively from their cognition,the contents and the teaching of the environmental education penetration in middle school geography.From the survey results,the knowledge of geography teachers' environmental education,environmental education penetration ways,evaluation and teacher training were got.Thirdly,this thesis put forward some strategies of penetration of environment education in middle school geography teaching,which were discussed from three aspects,including the construction of the teachers for environmental education,the optimization of the classroom teaching and the construction of ways of the environmental education after school.Strengthening construction of teaching staff included to increase the environmental education training to geography teachers and to self promote the teachers' environmental education literacy;Optimizing the classroom teaching covered to flexibly use the teaching cases and encourage independent inquiry,focus on classroom communication and cooperative learning;Carrying out the extracurricular activities contains to actively carry out campus environmental activities in right time and carry out extra-curricular activities according to the local environmental education resources in the right conditions.
