English is one of the subjects in college entrance examination.At present,under the traditional teaching mode,the efficiency of English reading teaching is low.The reading ability of students is lacking,students' scores of the reading part is not ideal in the college entrance examination.In order to improve the present situation that reading teaching is inefficient,launches a kind of teaching mode of Guided Learning Plan which is a scheme that instructs students to learn autonomously.Whether can Guided Learning Plan improve students' reading ability? The author of this research did a semester empirical research.Over a semester's teaching,questionnaire survey,interview and performance test were carried out on the classes with Guided Learning Plan,the results show Guided Learning Plan recognized and accepted by the students,improve students' reading performance and the overall performance of English,and help students master the relevant reading strategies and skill.
