The Ethnographic Study Of Education At Boarding School In The Pastoral Areas

Education as a social activity plays an important role of improving the education quality of science and culture,at the same time of inheritinge culture.By the unique geographical environment and cultural factors,by which a special.cultural pattern and type formed,and in this type of culture,people’s lives of all aspects are affected by it.From the view of education,education in pastoral area is deeply printed with regionality.On one hand,education has the function to cultivate excellent talents for the people within the region and to inherit the cultural tradition,on the other hand,education in pastoral areas must break through the hinder of traditional thoughts,make more people accept school of modern education.But in fact,under this dual role,education in pastoral areas failed to act the dual role,and got the school education in the situation of dilemma.And his situation not only has a great relationship with the process of the beginning and development of modern school education in pastoral areas,the most important reason is the result of the contradiction between the traditional pastoral culture and modern school education culture.Education in the pastoral area is a special part of minority education in our country.In 2010,Banma County lastly finished the task of Two-base(namely:popularizing nine-year compulsory education basically and eliminating the young adults illiterates basically),get through the national examination.And almost at the same time,policy of Co-education and Points happened quietly in pastoral areas of Qinghai.And after taking these policies have had a great impact on the boarding school education in the pastoral areas,also deeply affected the form and development of education in pastoral areas.However in the back of speaking highly of the high enrollment rate,high rate of finished education and low rate of illiteracy education after starting the policy of Two-base and Co-education and Points from reports,the situation of boarding school education in pastoral areas seemed a little ashamed.What is the positioning of education in pastoral areas and what direction the education in pastoral should be followed.this is a question.which need be deeply considered.This paper based on a case of banma County,Guoluo,Qinghai,after a lot of field investigation,by the perspective of education of Anthropology and national education displayed the status and discussed the main content of Two-base and co-education and Points in boarding education,and made a analysis and consideration to the issues appeared in the Two-base and Co-education and Points,and by these issues some corresponding suggestions are put forward.At the end of this paper,the author thinks that education in pastoral areas has its own reason of hysteresis quality,so the cultural speciality should not be ignored in the process of education development in pastoral areas,only by adopting measures suiting local conditions can education in pastoral areas develop in a steady way.
