Sangzhi county is located in the northwest of Hunan Province, the terrain iscomplex, because of its unique topography and natural conditions, the rural school alltownship administrative management now is a boarding school. Rural boarding schoolsin Sangzhi county has become a kind of new management mode of rural middle schoolsin Sangzhi County, which solves the students to go to school, go to school insuranceproblem, but this kind of management pattern exists in the defects. The past notboarding students together to play together to go to school and go home, some studentshome from school3-5km, round-trip distance is6-10km, and even some distancefarther away from home, go to school and go home together more. In fact, theirbehavior is a kind of extracurricular fitness, it reached a certain amount of exercise, canpromote the student’s physical health, which belongs to the extracurricular sportsactivities. But after boarding, the exercise is not. According to the Sangzhi county ruralboarding middle school students in extracurricular sports participation in research, toother rural boarding school extracurricular sports activities will be helpful.This study used literature method, questionnaire method, expert interview method,on-the-spot investigation method, mathematical statistics method, taking SangzhiCounty Rural Boarding School500compulsory education stage students as the researchobject, and in extracurricular sports participation as a research object, inspects theSangzhi county rural boarding middle school students in extracurricular sportsparticipation to understand the basic situation, current, the school extracurricular sportsstudents extracurricular sports participation, actual investigation and analysis of theexisting school extracurricular sports participation, and for schools to better scientificand effective extracurricular sports and put forward the corresponding countermeasures,which provide a basis for the rural boarding school to better carry out extracurricularsports activities. The results showed that:(1) the students are mostly ethnic minorities,school days did not arrange extracurricular sports activities, most students than nonboarding students every day2-6km distance exercise;(2) like to participate inextracurricular sports students accounted for the majority of the cognition and attitudeof students;(3) is more complex, active participation extracurricular sports activities ofhigher consciousness, but the lack of emotional experience;(4) the majority of studentsto participate in extracurricular sports activities motivation is correct;(5) the student toparticipate in the project is relatively simple, more concentrated in the ball games,combined with the girls and physical characteristics of less activity;(6) the majority ofstudents participating in extracurricular activities at school arrangement form oforganization;(7) the school sports venues is the main place of students to exercise, butthere are1/3of the students on the campus playground dissatisfied;(8) the time and the frequency of participation in extracurricular physical deficiency, non boarding studentsparticipation strength slightly higher than the boarding students;(9) the studentsparticipate in the purpose is clear, but the movement hygiene worrying;(10) studentsagree on sports consumption, but the consumption level is relatively low. Afterinvestigation and restrict the rural boarding middle school students in extracurricularsports participation in the seven main factors were the time factor, ground equipment,their own physical and technical factors, organizational factors, exercise guidancefactors, perseverance, weather factors; the rural boarding school students extracurricularsports participation main six factors of sports the reasons of influencing factors, friends,teachers, school sports atmosphere factors influencing factors, family factors, exerciseregularly broadcast factors. According to the research results, put forwardcountermeasures:(1) to strengthen leadership, establish and complete the rural boardingschool extracurricular sports management and evaluation system;(2) to increaseinvestment, improve the conditions of extracurricular physical substance;(3) improvethe extracurricular sports publicity, create a good sports atmosphere;(4) strengthen therural boarding school sports teaching means and methods, to promote sportsdevelopment;(5) students to participate in extracurricular sports organizationinnovation;(6) active in various competitions, to give students more display platform;(7) the deepening of new curriculum reform, alleviate student schoolwork pressure,make the rural boarding school students’ all-round development;(8) strengthenexchange of teachers and students, to give guidance and help more involved inextracurricular sports;(9) the full mining area conditions, the development of localcharacteristics of the project, enrich extracurricular sports activities.
