Classical poetry is a bright pearl in the treasure of traditional Chinese culture,students learn and appreciate classical poetry is an important way to inherit the traditional excellent culture.The current version of ordinary Chinese textbooks for junior middle school textbooks included more than 60 ancient poems,Compulsory Education Chinese Curriculum Standards requires students explicitly to appreciate literary works and enrich their spiritual world.In the process of appreciating classical poetry,students will get a profound thoughts of enlightenment and moral edification,which can not only improve their own cultural and artistic accomplishment,but also enhance the understanding of the language and the ability to express.This shows that the cultivation of junior middle school students' ability to appreciate classical poetry is helpful to the formation of their correct outlook on life,the improvement of aesthetic ability and the development of its language ability.Therefore,junior middle school language education should pay attention to the cultivation of students' ability of appreciation the ancient poetry.This paper first uses the literature analysis method,carries on the collation,the analysis and the synthesis to the collected literature material,summed up the the characteristics of classical poetry' language and image and analyzes the elements of the appreciation ability of classical poetry.Secondly,a questionnaire was conducted among more than 200 students(including excellent students and ordinary students)in key junior middle schools in Shijiazhuang,Hebei province.The questionnaire of the classical poetry appreciation ability is conducted respectively from four parts.In addition to the questionnaire survey,according to the existing problems,several representative teachers were interviewed,and then record the interview results.It is found that the classical poetry appreciation ability of junior middle school students is generally low,not good to feel the artistic conception of poetry and not deep enough to the understand the poetry.A considerable number of students can not associate and imagine the rich image of poetry,and can not express the views and understanding of the ancient poetry.Aimed at the problem of discovery and based on the requirements of the New Curriculum Standard and junior middle school compulsory textbooks,the author puts forward the corresponding strategies from four aspects: the ability of perception,understanding,imagination and evaluation.At the same time,the author paysattention to the application of strategy and pertinence,so as to cultivate students' ability of appreciation of classical poetry,refine their temperament,enrich their life experience,and then better service for the life.
