Extracurricular reading is one of the important contents of Chinese curriculum,and it is also an important way for students to practice Chinese curriculum content.In the first section of primary school,carrying out extracurricular reading can help students enrich their knowledge,broaden their horizons and improve language literacy.This study follows the logical thinking of asking questions,analyzing problems and solving problems.In recent years,Qinhuangdao Education Bureau has been carrying out the implementation of “Reading Project” actively.This study takes 3primary schools in Qinhuangdao Haigangqu District as the breakthrough point,and finds the current situation and problems of extracurricular reading in the first stage of primary school by questionnaires and interviews and so on.The problems include that the extracurricular reading content is not rich enough and the extracurricular reading environment and habits are not good enough and so on.The main reasons include four aspects in school,teacher,family,society and students.Then,the author analyzes the reasons for problems extracurricular reading in the first stage of primary school and put forward the strategies.These strategies can be summarized as follows:firstly,it needs to create conditions to carry out extracurricular reading in the first stage of primary school from four aspects of society,schools,teachers and families.Secondly,it needs to arrange reading list reasonably from the the provisions of the kinds of books of “Chinese course standard of full-time compulsory education(the 2011 Edition)”and the selection of picture reading books of new education.Thirdly,it needs to promote students to develop good habits of reading habits from communicative habits,accumulating habits and solving the reading barriers independently;Fourthly,it needs to guide teachers' and parents' effective evaluation by focusing on the process and results of activities.Finally,it needs to intensify cooperation between home and school by the effective use of electronic devices.All of these can optimize the extracurricular reading of the first semester in primary school.The innovation of research is that the author collects the valuable first-hand information,understands the extracurricular reading of the first stage in the primary school,analyzes the existing problems and puts forward the feasible solutions and provides a reference for the extracurricular reading activities of the first semester in primary schools in the background of the implementation of millions of reading project under the school 3 districts in Qinhuangdao city in recent years.The inadequacy of this study is that the selected sample size is limited,subject to geographical constraints,it is difficult to do a thorough study of the primary school extracurricular reading.In a word,this study provides a new basis for the development of extracurricular reading in the primary school,so as to promote the level of extracurricular reading of primary school students,improve the quality of Chinese,and promote the all-round development.
