Pakse Chinese school was built in 1929,is the first Chinese school,which located in Champasak(also known as Pakse),the second largest city of Laos.It is connected Laos and Cambodia,Thailand.The unique geographical location blends a variety of languages and cultures.With the improvement of China's international influence,the development of Chinese education in the region also ushered in new challenges and opportunities.Studying the development of Chinese education in Pakse Chinese primary school is not only conducive to improving the level of running schools by itself,but also promoting the development of overseas Chinese education and overseas Chinese education.Based on the experience of Chinese as a foreign language teacher in Laos and the investigation of overseas Chinese teachers,this study uses questionnaire survey,interview method and comprehensive analysis method.On this basis,based on the existing research results,the objective and comprehensive analysis of the status quo of Chinese education in Pakse Chinese primary school.The design of the questionnaire is based on the students 'and teachers' perspective,and analyzes the status quo,the advantages and disadvantages of the Chinese education in Pakse Chinese school.The main points are mainly reflected in the strong learning motivation,strong learning atmosphere,Chinese teachers have higher academic qualifications,teaching methods and diverse,paying attention to exchanges and cooperation,and actively introduce advanced talents and so on;inadequate mainly in the lack of teachers,over-reliance on Chinese teachers from China,students Chinese language use frequency is low.According to the existing problems,some suggestions are put forward from the three aspects of school,teachers and students:to stabilize the number of Chinese teachers,to cultivate local Chinese teachers,to strengthen inter-school links,to prepare and select suitable Chinese textbooks;to improve their professional knowledge and teaching skills,improve teaching methods,strengthen communication between teachers,regular teaching to observe;reinforce the Chinese foundation,improve learning Chinese interest,strengthen Chinese oral practice,improve the frequency of Chinese language;participate in Chinese proficiency(HSK)grade examination.
