A Study On The Current Situation Of Chinese Traditional Sports In Schools And Countermeasures ——Taing Kashgar City Primary School As An Example

In 2020,the two central government offices issued the Opinions on Comprehensively Strengthening and Improving School Sports in the New Era(hereinafter referred to as "Opinions").The promulgation of the Opinions has brought more attention to traditional ethnic sports,and together with the concepts of cultural confidence and cultural embellishment of the border,it has promoted the entry of excellent traditional sports culture into schools.As a multi-ethnic region,Kashgar incorporates traditional Chinese sports into school culture,cultivating young people's identification with Chinese culture and cultural self-confidence through physical education,thereby promoting national unity and social stability and achieving the effect of cultural embellishment of the border.This paper uses literature,interviews,questionnaires and case studies to investigate the current situation of Chinese traditional sports in six primary schools in Kashgar as follows:(1)a survey of the current situation of Chinese traditional sports in primary schools in Kashgar;(2)the basic situation of physical education teachers;(3)the interest of students in Chinese traditional sports;(4)the current situation of sports venues and equipment.The results show that:(1)most school leaders attach more importance to the introduction of Chinese traditional sports into the campus;(2)there are difficulties such as insufficient funds and lack of teachers with professional skills;(3)the team of physical education teachers is mainly young teachers graduated from undergraduate colleges and universities;(4)the titles of teachers are mainly Primary II teachers;(5)the teachers' sports specialties,sports grade certificates and referee grade certificates are mainly "(6)Most students prefer traditional ethnic sports,but the preference of male and female students differs;(7)School sports facilities basically meet the needs of traditional ethnic sports activities.In response to the problems identified in the study,the following measures are proposed for future development:(1)Strengthen institutional development,promote publicity and increase the top-level design for the introduction of traditional Chinese sports in schools.(2)Implement the policy of "matching and strengthening" physical education teachers,and actively train and introduce teachers of traditional Chinese sports.(3)Construct a traditional Chinese sports curriculum and develop scientific evaluation feedback to raise the level of awareness of traditional Chinese sports among teachers and students.(4)Formation of a basic guarantee mechanism.Education management and school administrators need to increase the financial guarantee for the development of Chinese traditional sports programmes,so as to promote the healthy development of Chinese traditional sports programmes.Based on this,this paper elaborates on the situation of Chinese traditional sports in Kashgar city schools,with a view to providing reference and laying a good foundation for the development of Chinese traditional sports programmes in Kashgar city primary and secondary schools.The integration of traditional Chinese sports into primary schools in Kashgar is very important in deeply promoting the transmission and dissemination of excellent traditional sports culture,and in forging a strong sense of Chinese community education among young people of all ethnic groups.
