Deeper learning is an activity whose the purpose is understanding that learners can incorporate new knowledge to existing knowledge and experiences through the ways such as criticism,reflection,integration and application to master the deep structure of knowledge and have the deep understanding.Based on the perspective of deeper learning,it is important to exam the quality of learning activity.The SOLO taxonomy is a kind of helpful evaluation framework that can make the understanding level become visible and be worth evaluating,and provide a good reference to the evaluation of deeper learning.Therefore,it is valuable to study how to apply the SOLO taxonomy to the deeper learning framework and improve the learning quality.This study explores the theories of deeper learning and the SOLO taxonomy based on the theoretical study,then builds an evaluation tool of deeper learning based on the SOLO taxonomy,and uses Delphi method to revise it.Finally,with the evaluation tool as the analysis framework,taking the grade five Chinese curriculum as sample,analyzing students' learning quality.This study found that students stay at surface understanding level overall,and there is no difference in learning situation between students.In addition,the learning tasks mainly refer to"know" instead of "comprehension".Therefore,this study provides some suggestions,the first is setting appropriate learning objectives based on students analysis,and the second is setting the core of learning tasks around the big ideas,and the third is providing students with more opportunities and learning space with multiple learning tasks.
