With the continuous progress and development of the overall level of society, people's living conditions continue to improve, and the happiness index also increases. After the problem of basic life has been solved,China's welfare also presents a trend of upward development, and the degree of concern for special groups in society is also increasing. The report of the18 th National Congress of the Communist Party of China put forward the clear requirement that "building a well-off society in an all-round way requires no less disabled people." The objective conditions of these two aspects provide a favorable opportunity for the improvement of the cause mechanism for the disabled and the individual development of the disabled in the new period. The visually impaired people, because of their visual impairment characteristics, lack of cognition of things, can not participate in social life independently in the way of normal social interaction, which leads to their bad mood compared with other types of disabled people, and needs the attention of the whole society.Visually impaired people face challenges from different levels in their life.Among them,as an important way to maintain individual survival and help future development, employment is of great significance to the visually impaired.Good employment can not only help them to have a relatively stable income and improve the quality of life, but also help them accumulate confidence in life in this process and cope with the future life with a more positive and optimistic attitude.China has also made some achievements in promoting the employment of the visually impaired. However, after years of development, there are still some limitations in the employment of the visually impaired, such as the single choice of employment, the lack of rich employment fields and so on.As a professional service, social work can use a variety of professional methods to intervene in the supportive employment services from the professional perspective, provide professional service guidance for the visually impaired to solve the employment problems, help the visually impaired to achieve employment "according to the time and the situation",and give full play to their ability and value under the conditions and opportunities given by the times.Combined with the social trend of innovation, this paper tries to start from the new field supporting employment outside the traditional employment path for the visually impaired, and uses the network new media and cultural development to prove the rationality and feasibility of the new mode of supporting employment in the new field on the basis of analyzing and comparing the current employment situation of the visually impaired.Combining the professional methods and services of social work, this paper studies the service process, content and application effect from the new field supporting employment services provided by Y organization in S City, extracts the unreasonable points in the service process, and makes a comprehensive analysis of the existing problems. From the perspective of empowerment theory commonly used in social work, through the intervention of relevant social work,we can improve the power of the subjects related to the employment of the visually impaired, help more visually impaired people find their own shining point, and create favorable conditions for the visually impaired to expand their employment choices and remove the obstacles in the process of employment. From the perspective of social work services, helping supporting employment in new fields will become a mature employment choice for the visually impaired in the future, and at the same time, building a more fair, inclusive and open social environment for the visually impaired will be put into action and contribute to their own efforts.
