In recent years, with the continuous development of the guide dogs in our country and the increase of visually impaired people using guide dogs, the problems about the social acceptance to the visually impaired people using guide dogs to go out have been becoming increasingly prom inent, which hinders the function of the guide dogs, affecting the normal travel of the visually impaired people using guide dogs, and thus, having a tremendous negative impact on the lives of the visually impaired people. As far as this problem is concerned, the importance and particularity of the comprehensive problems, the social roles and functions of the social workers are considered. The involvement of social work has its irreplaceable necessity and feasibility.This paper takes the visually impaired people faced with social acceptance problems when they use guide dogs to go out as the research object, using research methods such as literature research method, interview method, participant observation method and so on. With the comprehensive usage of social work professional method, according to the order of general process of social work practice, this paper applies the ecosystem theory to carry out professional services on the main difficulties faced by the client.This paper is divided into four chapters, the first chapter is the introduction, provide an explanation on the research background, purpose and significance, research ideas and methods of this paper, as well as domestic and international research status of the problem; the second chapter is the importance of the social acceptance to the visually impaired people going out with a guide dog, and the necessity and feasibility of the social work intervention, representing an analysis and description of the importance of the social acceptance to the visually impaired people going out with a guide dog, and the necessity and feasibility of the social work of the social acceptance to the visually impaired people going out with a guide dog; the third chapter is the case analysis to the social work intervention for the social acceptance to the visually impaired people going out with a guide dog, introducing background information of this case, defining and analyzing the problems; the fourth chapter is the implementation process of the social work intervention for the social acceptance to the visually impaired people going out with a guide dog, making a detailed introduction to the social work service plan which considering various factors such as client himself, the clients’ family members, the community where the client lives in, and related social organizations and groups, detailed expounding the whole social work intervention procedures which was set out to achieving the service goal the client and the social worker developed jointly, and give some pieces of advice and summary. The author hopes to provide useful reference to the deepening, refine development of the social acceptance to the visually impaired people going out with a guide dog and the disabled social work.
