Karate is originated from Fujian Nanquan and now is the third popular sports in the world.Due to many factors,karate is not universal in primary and secondary schools in our country and the relevant theory and practice research about Karate school-based curriculum are relatively rare.However,with the implementation of the Three Level of Curriculum Management System,the advancing work to promote karate to enter Olympic Games in 2020 and the starting of Karate promoting project in primary and secondary schools in 2015,Karate is facing the unprecedented developing opportunity.Therefore,researches about karate school-based curriculum in primary and secondary schools are becoming particularly important.This article mainly uses the literature material law,teaching practice method,questionnaire survey and mathematical statistics to discuss deeply about the Karate school-based curriculum in primary and secondary schools.The following conclusions are drawn from the study:1,Karate school-based curriculum development is based on theories of sports-based curriculum and physical education curriculum module designing;and it is on the factual basis of the actual situation of school and the actual physical and mental development characteristics of high school students.2,the curriculum development is based on combining theories and practices: physical education implementing way and module teaching;level five physical education program;two module parts,which are module one,the basic part and module two,the developing part,are divided according to the teaching content;the module teaching plan is divided into semester one and semester two;course assessment takes the rank system of karate for reference;student evaluation combines grades and skill test and implements score system.The karate school-based curriculum development achieves actual results after practicing: module teaching get high credit in students and students are showing positive attitude and great interest in studying karate;the teaching content from all sections basically meets students' needs and students are relatively satisfied with the learning effect;students' knowledge about karate increased greatly;the whole teaching effect is great.Some problems also show up in the practice: students' knowledge of karate is rare;under the optional course system,the level difference is easily seen in the same class;teaching method need to be more diverse;students are more attracted to Kumite Competition;young teachers are easily to get identity from students.Sum up the results and analysis,the advices are as follow: by referring to the previous experience,it is advocated to develop karate school-based curriculum in schools;strength the popularization of karate knowledge and developing process in teaching work;practice karate rank system to motivate students' interest in karate;combine teaching content diversely and add kumite competition properly;use the off-campus resources effectively to enhance the teaching force;open karate courses in diverse ways to meet the various needs of students.
