| Biology is a subject which is based on experiments and developed in the process of application.As an effective complement and extension of national basic education,school-based curriculum possesses more flexibility.The main contents of the research on school-based curriculum consist of how to manage the course scientifically by developing,implementing and evaluating the school-based curriculum,the study and analysis about the effects of implementation of the curriculum,and achieving the goal of expanding students’ knowledge and developing their key competencies of the course,biology.The experimental school in my study pays special attention to the development of students’comprehensive quality by setting up some subjects of school-based curriculum to satisfy students’ different requirements.Based on the study on the theory of school-based curriculum and the practice in the experimental school,this paper tries to develop the school-based curriculum subject,Food Microbiology,and put it into practice.The methods,literature research,investigation,interview and data analysis,contribute to this study.Firstly,some analyses are conducted in advance,including experimental school’s management system,hardware conditions,teachers and students’ proficiency,in order to guarantee the rationality and feasibility of the curriculum.Then questionnaire investigation on students’ learning needs is analyzed to learn students’ specific needs on the theme,content,form and evaluation requirements of the curriculum.Thirdly,learn more about the current situation of the practice of school-based curriculum by interviewing other schools’ teachers.Based on the Humanistic Curriculum Theory and students’ specific needs,course curriculum and lectures are developed.Finally,students are asked to answer the questionnaire to score and give a descriptive assessment.When the curriculum is over,test the students in the experimental group and control group,and compare the two group students’ performances before and after the curriculum study.And study the influence of the school-based curriculum on students’ learning.After analyzing students’ achievements by SPSS,the result shows that there are significant differences between experimental group and control group.Additionally,students in the experimental group perform better in understanding biological knowledge,grasping skills,setting up positive emotional attitude and value,which is useful for developing students’ key competencies of the course,biology. |
