Error Files means mistakes collections which are built by students through collecting and analyzing errors made in exams and homeworks. Error Files are quite important for teachers and students. For teachers, Error Files enhance the effect of teaching. For students, errors are special learning resources. In other words, if students can make good use of their mistakes, their learning efficiency will be promoted a lot. Therefore, the study of error files has profound practical significance.Firstly, questionnaire is distributed to students from two classes in Grade One of Huaihai Senior High School. The questionnaire is designed to know students'performance from four aspects, namely, error management conception, attitude, behavior and strategy. Students'specific performance in different aspects are analyzed carefully. Then, based on the results of the questionnaire, an experimental study is conducted, and all kinds of error management ways and approaches are involved in the study. The study lasts for a whole semester. The subjects are students from class 242(control class) and class 249 (experimental class) in Huaihai Senior High School in Changzhi. The biology textbook published by People's Education Publisher is applied in this study. Finally, an interview is conducted in the experiment class in order to know students' mastering of errors files.Through research, the ahthor draw the following conclusion:1. Before the experiment, it is found that the application of error files is not prevailing among senior high school students.2. After the experiment, the experimental class students' scores and understanding of the value of the error files etc. have great changes. And the experimental class students'scores are significantly higher than the controlled class, as the experiment goes, the difference of scores is more notable between experimental and controlled class.3. By the experiment of building and applying error files in daily learning, students can manage their errors systematically. The application of error files facilitate students'understanding of biology knowledge, promote students'scores and build up students' confidence in learning biology, In a word, error files are quite efficient for teachers to teach biology and students to learn biology.
