Exercise is an important carrier which can’t be neglected in the mathematics learning process. It is exercise that helps students grasp the theorem, concepts and forums of mathematical, fully understand the mathematical thought and method as well as masterfully applying every problem-solving method. How much the teachers knowing about the current study situation of the students needs the exercise to test. It’s common for students to make mistakes in the mathematics learning process.Errors reflect the shortage in the learning process. The students can know well about the weakness existed in every aspect of the study by summarizing the errors. If they effectively and timely summarize the errors, it will have a great influence on the study and significantly improve their mathematics achievements.Grade two is the transition period in the stage of senior high school. The students have formed the habit of thinking and the cognition of errors when they learned algebra in Grade one, but the habit hasn’t been formed to a fixed model which is easy to change. This paper is both an investigation and a research on error management in mathematics among the Grade two of the high school students through questionnaire, test analysis and interview. The investigation is based on four dimensions: the situation of the error management, the attitude towards the error management, the measures taken by error management and the instruction given by teachers to students. A conclusion is drawn:(1) There is no significant difference between gender and source in terms of the mathematics achievements.(2) There is no significant difference between arts students, science students and art students.(3) There is a large difference in the situation of the error management among students from different places.(4) Both the mathematics achievements and the situation of the error management are significantly different from the instruction given by teachers to students and from the measures taken by error management. On the basis of the conclusion, cultivating strategies are offered for errormanagement through correcting errors occurred in student’s homework and analyzing the errors in solving mathematical questions:(1) Setting up a file of error for students.(2) Holding an error exchange.(3) Strengthening the ability in correcting the complex problem.(4) Improving the measures taken by error management. |
