Film and television technology make the world appear in the form of images in front of human eyes.The faster and more intuitive features make it quickly occupy a place in the media.Documentary films have always been regarded as an important image carrier for recording real-life data and disseminating cultures because of their authenticity and factuality.As an art form,a documentary film uses actual material and documentary images to tell real stories.This is inseparable from the narrative methods of documentaries themselves.The narrative allows the audience to resonate with the stories and characters in the film.The mood and thoughts also fluctuate with the progress of the plot,making the humanistic ideas in the documentary truly convey to the public.After 2010,the number of documentary films in Tibetan areas in China has increased year by year.At this stage,the documentaries of homemade Tibetan lands show a diversity of topics and a gradual increase in the quality of photographs.Narrative techniques and narrative models are also constantly innovating,and more and more domestic documentary directors are exploring how to tell Tibetan stories well.This article starts from the narrative angle of the documentaries and uses text analysis and film and television narratology as the main methods to sort out the narration of documentaries made in Tibet from the beginning of 2010 to early 2018.This article has five parts: introduction,sorting out the status quo of documentary narratology,including the distinction between film narratology and documentary narratology and the main directions and achievements of research in Tibetan documentaries;Chapter 1,the development of narrative documentaries in Tibet Combating the development history of Tibetan documentaries both at home and abroad and the status quo of documentaries made in Tibet after 2010;Chapter 2 analyzes the narrative framework,narrative perspective,and narrative style of documentaries made in Tibet after 2010 through text analysis;Comparing with the analysis results in the second part,we will sort out the performance of the Tibetan culture in the Tibetan documentaries from 2010 to early 2018.Finally,we will summarize the narrative characteristics and future directions of the documentaries from the Tibetan areas in 2010 and early 2018.The author attempts to find out the development trend of the documentary in Tibetan areas from the narrative of the documentary of the Tibetan areas in the past eight years,and put forward some suggestions for the construction of the Tibetan image under the Chinese context.
