An Escort Consecutive Interpretation Practice Report On Cultural Communication Of Chinese Bridge

The Confucius Institute is a cultural exchange organization established by Hanban(Confucius Institute Headquarters)to carry forward Chinese culture around the world.This “Chinese Bridge Cultural Communication” is organized by Hanban to teach American students to learn martial arts knowledge in China,aiming at the exchange of Chinese culture.This practice report focuses on the interpreting practice during American middle students study on the martial class and analyzes the difficulties in the course of interpreting as well as providing solutions for them.This report is divided into the following four chapters.The first chapter makes a concise introduction of the interpreting task.It also specifies the requirements and features of the interpreting content and sets significance and goal of the interpreting practice.And the second chapter,the author divides the whole task into three steps: the preparatory step before interpreting,interpretation progress and task evolution.About the preparation part,the author places emphasis on the preparation and details,including the definition of the translation content,the reserve of field knowledge,background information of interpretation objects,the formulation of professional terminology,the selection of parallel text and related theory preparation.The third chapter is the key piece of this practice report.It analyzes the specific problems encountered in the practice of interpreting,including the problems of non-coincidence of notes and memorization,omission translation and state problems and other emergent situations.Based on the theory of functional equivalence,combined with practice experience,this paper summarized breakthroughs and strategies of interpreting difficulties.The main content of the fourth chapter mainly describes the conclusion of the interpreting practice,summed up some interpreting tips and requirements,the development of the interpretation of the occupation,the translator's professional ability and quality,pointed out the role of theoretical guidance.And the ending part of this report,it summed up some thinking on the prospect of the future career.
