“Gender”is an important category in mankind’s cognition of things.In addition to the biological concept(sex,gender),it also classifies the attribution of a noun or a pronoun in some man-made languages,namely,the grammatical gender.As an isolated Chinese,its noun doesn’t have the grammatical gender,while in the expression of biological gender,it is marked by some gender words so as to be distinguished from other expressions.In the Chinese courses for foreigners,learners often make collocation errors and errors such as improper style when it refers to these seven commonly used groups of gender words with the same synonymy,specifically,constituted by morphemes“男”and“女”:“男的/女的”,“男人/女人”,“男子/女子”,“男士/女士”,“男性/女性“,“男生/女生”,“男孩/女孩”.Subsequently,this paper will mainly give a study of this in from five parts.Firstly,based on the ontology research and the analysis of corpus,the author differentiates and analyzes the said seven groups of gender words that have the same synonymy from the perspectives of semantics,style and appropriate collocation.Secondly,the author makes a cross-linguistic comparison between the Chinese gender words and its Spanish parallels,aiming to foresee the possible problems and difficulties that the Chinese learners,whose mother language is Spanish,may be confronted with in their Chinese-learning process.Thirdly,by the way of questionnaire,the author makes a field research in Confucius Institute at Catholic University of Santa Maria in Peru to get an understanding of the junior and senior Spanish-speaking students’ learning of these seven groups of Chinese gender words that have the same synonymy.Fourthly,the author concludes the errors types,discusses the causes for the errors and put forward suggestions for relevant teaching.Finally,the author makes a detailed niche-targeting instructional design in accordance with the results concluded in this paper.Besides,to enhance the feasibility and efficiency,the author puts this instructional design into practice in the class teaching with the anticipation for reducing the errors and helping the students expressing these seven groups of gender words correctly and appropriately.
