A Study Of Chinese Cultural Image In Teaching Chinese As A Foreign Language

The establishment of a good image of Chinese culture has become one of the important ways for China to go onto the world stage,the teaching of Chinese as a foreign language will undoubtedly become the most direct and effective way to establish Chinese cultural image.The predecessors have put forward many constructive suggestions and prospects for the spread of Chinese cultural image in the teaching of Chinese as a foreign language.However,at present,the teaching of Chinese as a foreign language is still in a discuss and development stage,few people have pointed out the current situation of Chinese cultural image in teaching Chinese as a foreign language,and how to establish the Chinese cultural image in teaching Chinese as a foreign language.This leaves a lot of questioning space for the late-comers,and the main idea of this study is also made.Through quantitative analysis of oversea students'change of awareness of Chinese culture before and after the course learning,this paper aims to find out the ways and methods to improve the oversea students' understanding of Chinese culture,as well as prospect how to establish and cultivate Chinese cultural image in the teaching of Chinese as a foreign language.This is also the innovation of this paper.This paper includes the following parts:the first part studies the current situation of teaching Chinese as a foreign language and clear up the current situation of cultural transmission in teaching Chinese as a foreign language.The second part clarifies the relevant concepts as well as sum up the ways and characteristics of the manifestation of Chinese cultural image.The third part analyzes the status that should be presented,current situation and problems of Chinese cultural image.The fourth part analyzes the Chinese cultural image in the course of teaching Chinese as a foreign language through the investigation of two courses of Guangxi University;and it studies the oversea students' overall attitude of Chinese culture before and after learning the courses,how they get improved and why there will be such improvement,which kind of space for improvement has yet to be developed.The fifth part draw a summary of the conclusions and puts forward relevant suggestions from textbook compilation,teachers' teaching,curriculum setting and other aspects.Finally,it puts forward some suggestions and prospects on the establishment and cultivation of Chinese cultural image in teaching Chinese as a foreign language.
