| Honorifics,as a kind of language expressing respect,has great significance for the communication among people.However,many foreign students make some mistakes in using Chinese honorifics,which impedes their daily communication.Therefore,the paper adopts the methods of questionnaires and error analysis to investigate the study of honorifics of intermediate-level language students Zhejiang University of Science and Technology in hope of offering useful implications for academic circle to understand more about the current situation and existed problems of students’ use of honorifics.As the introduction of the paper,the Chapter one mainly elaborates the reasons for choosing this topic,research methods,research purposes and innovations of this paper.Chapter Two traces the history of honorific study in teaching Chinese as a foreign language and sums up the features of literature.Chapter three takes students of the intermediate class of Zhejiang University of Science and Technology as a case study.Starting from the criteria of honorific choice in this study,this chapter explains the textbooks used in the intermediate class,makes statistics on honorific words in the textbooks,and chooses honorific words in the corresponding language levels of the intermediate class,and finally determines honorifics that these students should master.These honorifics lays the foundation for the next questionnaire survey.Chapter Four takes questionnaire design as the framework,uses tables and statistics to state the survey situation,and finally makes error analysis on the use of honorifics by foreign students.Chapter 5 summarizes the conclusions of the survey.It shows that the learning of honorifics is generally good,but due to the compilation of teaching materials,classroom teaching,cultural factors,and personal reasons,students make mistakes in their learning.Based on the viewpoint of the above chapters,this paper hopes that the study can improve the compilation of honorifics of teaching Chinese as a second language textbooks,standardize the teaching of honorifics in this perspective at present,improve the daily communicative competence of foreign students,and provide references and suggestions for relevant domestic research.Therefor it will provide references and suggestions for relevant research in China and make a modest contribution to the vigorous development of teaching Chinese as a second language. |
